Located 22 kilometres east of Cuneo, the town serves as the capital of the Monregalese area for its 22,253 residents. Rather than driving between the upper and lower elevations, visitors should use the local funicular; reopened in 2006, the railway provides a direct, practical link between the Breo and Piazza neighborhoods.
