Divignano

Province: Novara · Region: Piedmont · Population: 1,445 · Postal code: 28010

Divignano is a small municipality in the province of Novara; in dialect people call it Dumian. The arms the village once used were quartered: two silver quarters with the blue Visconti serpent swallowing a child, and two red ones with a silver horse bit; above them, a chief lozengy in blue and silver.

The parish church is dedicated to Saints Stephen and Roch. Its front is of bare brick, edged along the top with rows of small arches and marked by gilded pinnacles, with a porch on stone columns before the door; on the right flank stands the bell tower, its clock below the belfry and an iron cross on top.
