The patroness of Tornaco is Saint Mary Magdalene (santa Maria Maddalena), celebrated on 22 July; the municipality holds the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena. On the occasion of the traditional patronal feast, alongside the religious celebrations, cultural and artistic events take place, sometimes with installations or inaugurations linked to the diffuse museum and to the «Cantieri d'Arte» series.
The Museo Etnografico, housed in Villa Marzoni, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the testimonies of rural life, farming activities and the traditions of the Novara plain. The municipality also holds the Oratorio di Santo Stefano and the Oratorio di Sant'Eusebio.
