The via delle Gallie passed through Bollengo, the consular road Augustus built to link the Po plain with Gaul. On the route of the Canavese via Francigena stands the country church of Santi Pietro e Paolo.
Of the church of San Martino only the bell tower is left: the church came down in 1733 and the tower stayed standing alone. A monument recalls the nine men of Bollengo who died in the sinking of the Arandora Star.
