Germagnano

Province: Turin · Region: Piedmont · Population: 1,256 · Postal code: 10070

Germagnano lies in the Lanzo valleys, on mountain ground, and on the administrative map belongs to the metropolitan city of Turin. The village has more than one name, four counting Italian: Djermagnan in Piedmontese, Sen German in Franco-Provençal, Saint-Germain in French. With the other mountain municipalities around, it shares a union with those of the Ceronda and Casternone valleys.

The church of Santi Grato e Rocco was built in the sixteenth century, but became a parish church only in 1765, generations later. The town banner is a cloth divided red and white.
