The patroness of Mompantero is the Madonna del Rocciamelone, celebrated on 5 August; the municipality holds the Santuario Nostra Signora del Rocciamelone.
Mompantero's traditional festival par excellence is the «Ballo dell'Orso» (Bear Dance) or «Fora l'Ours», held on the first weekend of February in the hamlet of Urbiano; the celebrations begin on Saturday evening with the «caccia all'orso» (bear hunt) by the hunters.
