Saint Ursula, patroness in the place where the people drove out two medieval petty tyrants
📅 Every year, on 21 October
Poirino celebrates Saint Ursula on 21 October; the pillar shrine dedicated to her stands, according to tradition, precisely where in the 13th century the population rose up against two petty tyrants who claimed the «ius primae noctis», driving them out after a clash between small armies.
