Rivalba lies on the hills that close Turin to the northeast, on the ridges running between the Po and the Asti country. The coat of arms shows a red castle on a blue field, marked with black brickwork, with Guelph merlons and a single tower; above, on a gold chief, a black eagle with an antique crown.
The old centre reads as a climb: pantile roofs step down the slope, above the houses two brick towers rise, one squat under a pitched roof with a cross on top, the other slimmer and taller, with a small belfry at its tip.
