Every Thursday morning, a regular street market takes over the lakeside boulevard of Omegna. Home to just over 15,700 residents, it serves as the primary hub of the Cusio area, sitting right at the northernmost tip of Lake Orta.
The municipality is physically traversed by the Nigoglia river, notable as the lake's sole outflow. A daily ferry service connects the waterfront to surrounding villages, while the municipal territory extends north of the Strona river into the Val Corcera.
