The patroness of Motta de' Conti is the Most Holy Annunciation, celebrated on 25 March, to whom the Chiesa della Santissima Annunziata is dedicated.
Among the town's traditions is the egg collection at Carnival: the little ones, the «mascherine», go from house to house with a wicker basket collecting eggs, which are sold or eaten together in a frittata, especially on Shrove Tuesday; in June, instead, the feast in honour of Saint John the Baptist is held, deeply felt, in which tradition, religion and the historical memory of the Risorgimento wars merge.
