On 19 August San Marco la Catola celebrates San Liberato martire. On this occasion, on 20 August, the Gioco della Jaletta is held, in which the riders representing the respective districts (there are seven: U Giardin, Port' abbasc, Vall Saccone, Port' ammont, Via Nov d sott, Sant Lorenz, Stanca Cavall) compete in a test of skill, which consists of threading the traditional 'verga', a pointed stick, into the slot under the tub full of water called, precisely, the jaletta.
On 4 October the Fiera di San Francesco is held. The municipality holds the Castello baronale, the Convento dei Cappuccini, the Chiesa madre di San Nicola di Mira and the Chiesa di San Rocco.
