The patron saints of Troia are Saints Eleutherius, Urban, Pontian, Secundinus and Anastasius, celebrated on 19 July.
On the evening of Good Friday, the Procession of the Mysteries winds between the Corso principale and via Roma, a long and scenographic procession of Spanish origin dating to the early 1700s, re-enacting the Way of the Cross. It is joined by the penitential Procession of the Chains, with hooded participants who, chains tied to their bare feet, walk the streets of the medieval centre carrying a heavy cross on their shoulders. On 8 March, Saint John of God, co-patron of the city, is also celebrated, with a procession and solemn Mass. The town holds the Cathedral of Troia and the Diocesan Ecclesiastical Museum.
