The patron of Carpignano Salentino is Our Lady of the Grotto, celebrated on 2 and 3 July.
The calendar of local feasts also includes the Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua, on 13 June, and the Feast of Saint Vitus, on 15 June. The first weekend of September brings the Festa te lu mieru (wine festival, in dialect), one of the most famous and attended fairs of the Salento summer, whose first edition dates back to 1974. The territory also holds the Crypt of Santa Cristina and several menhirs, including the Staurotomea, or Great Cross.
