The patron saints of Galatone are Saint Sebastian, celebrated on 20 January with illuminations, band concerts and fireworks, and the Most Holy Crucifix of the Pietà, celebrated from 1 to 4 May with processions, illuminations, band and musical concerts and fireworks, in the sanctuary dedicated to it.
Between February and March, Carnival is held, with a parade and competition of individual and group masks and allegorical floats. The town also holds the Castello di Fulcignano and the Castello di Galatone, as well as the church of the Madonna Odigitria.
