From 14 to 17 August the municipality of Surano gathers to celebrate the feasts of its Patron Saints. It begins on 14 August, the day of the martyrs of Otranto; it continues on the 15th, dedicated to Maria Assunta (Assumption of Mary); the 16th is the day of San Rocco, with the traditional Eucharistic celebration at dawn at the Cappella di San Rocco and fireworks late at night.
The municipality also holds the Chiesa Maria Santissima Assunta and the Vora Spedicaturo, or Vora Grande di Surano.
