The patron of Spongano is Saint Victoria, with solemn celebrations held from 7 to 9 August. Her patronage was introduced in the second half of the 17th century, with the arrival in Spongano of the family of Baron Bacile, coming from the Marche. In 1767, the Sacred Congregation of Rites granted permission to celebrate the saint on the second Sunday of August. The same patron is also celebrated on 23 December.
The town also holds the Clock Tower and the main Church of San Giorgio Martire.
