The patron of Bonorva is Santa Maria Bambina, celebrated on 8 September.
The Carnival of Bonorva is famous throughout the Logudoro, considered one of the finest in Sardinia for its allegorical floats built by the town's young people and for the number of masked figures circulating through the town. On the weekend after Shrove Tuesday, the pariglie are held, in which the town's best riders perform acrobatics on horseback. The town also holds the Civic Archaeological Museum and the sacred spring of Su Lumarzu.
