One of the patrons of Domusnovas is Our Lady of the Assumption, celebrated on 15 August in the Church of the Beata Vergine Assunta; the other patron, Saint Ignatius of Laconi, is instead celebrated on 11 May.
On Easter Sunday, at 11:00, the last of the Easter paraliturgical rites takes place: S'Incontru, the meeting between the statues of the Risen Christ and the Madonna, who greet each other with three bows as the bells ring out in celebration; this procession, interrupted for several decades, was reintroduced by the Confraternity in 1997. The town also holds the Sa Domu 'e s'Orcu nuraghe and the Grotta di San Giovanni cave.
