The patron saint of Cammarata is Saint Nicholas of Bari, celebrated on 6 December, with the church dedicated to him at the heart of the town. Among Cammarata's distinctive events, the Cavalcade stands out, the best known being that of the Most Holy Crucifix of the Angels, celebrated on the last Sunday of May: on this occasion horses and riders parade between two rows of a festive crowd through the town's streets, setting out from the house of the «Paliante», the person who has promised an offering to the saint.
Cammarata also preserves the sanctuary of Maria Santissima Cacciapensieri, the church of San Vito the martyr, that of Sant'Antonio Abate, now known as San Domenico, and the castle overlooking the town.
