What to see · Adrano

Greek polis founded by Dionysius I of Syracuse around 400 BC on the slopes of Mount Etna.

Built around 1875 by Baron Spitaleri, this lava-stone castle named the Solicchiata wine.

A Norman donjon of 1070, raised for Roger I, now home to Adrano's archaeological museum.

The church and monastery were built in 1596 on the site of a Benedictine foundation from 1150.

The only known monumental inscription in the Sicel language surfaced here, on the south gate's jamb.
