Condrò celebrates Saint Vitus on 15 June; the church dedicated to him, from 1571, is also named for Our Lady of Tindari.
On 9 September 1262, a medieval document provided the earliest written record of Condrò, a Sicilian village whose name stems from the Ancient Greek word chondros. Situated 58 metres above sea level, this compact territory covers a mere five square kilometres and has a population of 481.
Located 20 kilometres west of Messina and 170 kilometres east of Palermo, the municipality borders Pace del Mela, Gualtieri Sicaminò, and San Pier Niceto.
