The year 1921 marked the administrative creation of Pace del Mela, formed by detaching land from the adjacent town of Santa Lucia del Mela. Referred to in the local dialect as "Paci", the municipality is now home to around 6,400 residents.
Located 20 kilometers west of Messina and 170 kilometers east of Palermo, it shares boundaries with rural centers like Condrò and Gualtieri Sicaminò. The town functions as a straightforward municipal transit point within the province.
