The patron saint of Naso is Saint Cono, celebrated on 1 September. The saint, born Conone Navacita, was born in the town and there held his mystical conversations with God in a hermitage, around which a village later grew up, now abandoned; besides Naso, Saint Cono is also the patron of the identically named municipality in the Calatino area, in the province of Catania.
The Temple of San Cono, built over a pre-existing Latin-cross church with four altars, holds in its chapel of relics a rich display of fine marbles, stuccoes and paintings depicting his miracles, considered a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque; the crypt of the building today houses the Museum of Sacred Art.
