Patron saint festival
Saint Blaise and the Madonna della Catena, moved to October for the weather and the hazelnuts
📅 Every year, on the first Sunday of October (liturgical date 3 February)
San Piero Patti celebrates Saint Blaise on the first Sunday of October, although the liturgical date is 3 February: the feast was moved because winter weather made it impossible to organise, and in autumn the thriving local hazelnut trade was already being celebrated.
