Scaletta Zanclea is a coastal municipality in the Metropolitan City of Messina, home to 2,249 residents. Located just 15 kilometres southwest of Messina, the town sits along the eastern shore of Sicily.
Situated roughly 180 kilometres east of Palermo, the town is known locally in Sicilian simply as Scaletta. Its close proximity to Messina makes it a quick drive along the regional coastal route.
