The patron saint of Trabia is the Most Holy Crucifix, celebrated on the last Sunday of September. Every year the Corpus Domini procession sets out from the church of the Most Holy Sacrament, winding through the town's streets towards the folk «Marunnuzzi», small chapels built for the occasion by the inhabitants of the various districts. On Good Friday, instead, the statues of Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows are carried in procession by the faithful and placed facing each other in front of the small church, where songs tied to the Passion are performed.
In the hamlet of San Nicola l'Arena, every 15 August, on the occasion of the Assumption, a traditional procession of boats carries the statue of the Madonna over the waters facing the hamlet. Trabia also preserves traces of its feudal past in the Castello di San Nicola and the Castello Lanza-Branciforti.
