The patron of Ferla is Saint Sebastian, celebrated on 20 July in the church named after him.
The feast the town feels most, though, is Easter, with rites that have something out of time about them. On Holy Thursday comes the procession of the Signuri a Canna, followed at night by that of the Signuri a Cascia; on Holy Saturday, after the mass of the resurrection, the Sorrowful Virgin sets out for A Madonna o Scontru, the meeting, and the Sciaccariata runs alongside U Gesummaria.
