The patron saint of Castiglione della Pescaia is Saint William of Malavalle, celebrated on the Monday after the second Sunday of May.
The Rowing Palio, a traditional feast held since 1952, is raced on rowing boats with five-person crews, four rowers and a coxswain. Every first Sunday of September, instead, the Palio di Vetulonia is run, a traditional donkey race in which the town's four districts compete: Borgo, Colonna, San Guglielmo and Torre. The town also holds the Church of Santi Simone e Giuda and Palazzo Centurioni.
