Marsciano celebrates Saint John the Baptist on 24 June, with the traditional «acqua odorosa di San Giovanni», made by mixing wildflowers and dew into water; since 2011 the local Pro Loco has revived the Palio di San Giovanni, documented in ancient 14th-century writings.

The patron saint of Marsciano is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June in the church named after him.

On the occasion of the feast, the traditional «acqua odorosa di San Giovanni» (scented water of Saint John) is prepared, made by mixing wildflowers and dew into water. Until 2011, the year in which the Palio di San Giovanni was revived, this event was only known from a few remote writings dating to the 14th century: that year, the local Pro Loco, with the patronage of the Municipality of Marsciano, brought the ancient tradition back to life. The town also holds the church of San Valentino and that of San Silvestro.
