Montagnana celebrates the Assumption of Mary on 15 August, in the cathedral dedicated to her. Since 1977, reviving a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages, the Palio of the 10 Towns of the Montagnana area has been run every year in the moat of the Rocca degli Alberi, with costumed reenactment of medieval and Renaissance figures.
