The patron saint of Piove di Sacco is Saint Martin of Tours, celebrated on 11 November.
When the plague struck the citizens hard, a procession was held to the church of San Rocco, but the contagion continued to claim victim after victim; on 26 April 1631 the Community Council decided to ask the Madonna for help, and on 6 May the procession was held towards the church of the Madonna delle Grazie: to this day, the Madonna is still remembered and thanked with a solemn procession on this date. The town also holds the Duomo di Piove di Sacco and the church of San Tommaso Apostolo di Corte.
