The patron of Salara is Saint Valentine, celebrated on 14 February, to whom the Chiesa di San Valentino is dedicated.
The strawberry festival in May is an important provincial event that celebrates locally grown strawberries with a competition, tastings of the typical product, food stands and popular gatherings; in the hamlet of Veratica the fair of the Madonna della Neve is held, and in mid-September the donkey festival.
