The name is a history lesson: Vittorio Veneto was born in 1866 by uniting Ceneda and Serravalle in the king's honour, and in autumn 1918 it named the battle that ended the Great War on the Italian front — the Battle Museum tells it rigorously, without rhetoric. Serravalle, wedged between crags, is a jewel: Piazza Flaminio, frescoed loggias, artisan shops.
