The patron saint of Salzano is Saint Bartholomew, celebrated on 24 August with the Sagra di San Bortolo, during which the male duck is cooked as a typical product.
The town also hosts the Carnevale della Monica, a regional-level allegorical float parade with costumed performers and walking groups, and the Festa della Filatura, reenacting the silk production cycle, from mulberry cultivation to weaving, at the historic silk mill. In November, the renowned Pumpkin Festival is held. The town holds the Palazzo Combi and the Parish Church of Santi Giacomo e Cristoforo.
