Every year, on 18 August, the people of San Floro honour their patron saint with a solemn mass and the typical procession through the streets of the village.
The name of the village reflects the strong veneration of San Floro Martire, who together with his brother Lauro, because he had not renounced his ideals of Christian faith, was arrested, condemned, lowered into a well and buried alive. Worth noting is the traditional processing of dried white figs, dried by the ancient method of natural sun-drying. The municipality holds the Castello Caracciolo.
