The patron of Sinopoli is Saint George the Martyr, celebrated on 23 April in the hamlet of Sinopoli Inferiore, where the church of San Giorgio holds the venerated statue of the saint.
The most important of the town's religious feasts, however, is that of Maria Santissima delle Grazie (Our Lady of Graces), on 8 September, with a solemn procession of the Virgin's statue through the streets and the torchlight procession of the olive trees; the civil celebrations in her honour include concerts, fireworks and the traditional dance of the Giants.
