The patron saint of Marcianise is Saint Michael the Archangel, celebrated on 8 May; the feast in his honour is also repeated in civic form during the first week of September.
Numerous other religious traditions enliven the town's calendar: on 25 March the feast of the Santissima Annunziata is celebrated, tied to the tradition of «o perduono», during which young people abstain from sexual relations and exchange sweets in honour of the Virgin Mary. On 8 September, meanwhile, the Madonna della Libera is celebrated, marking a miracle associated with her. The town's calendar also includes a distinctive cart parade, celebrating Carnival or the arrival of spring depending on the year.
