The patron saints of Magliano Vetere are Santa Lucia, Santa Irene and San Mauro, celebrated on the third Sunday of September.
The Museo Paleontologico (Palaeontological Museum) has an exhibition area of four large rooms, through which a route guides the visitor from the first phases of the formation of the Universe, the Solar System and the Earth to an understanding of the geological processes that led to the formation of the Apennines and of the rocks that make them up. The municipality also holds the Santuario di Santa Lucia, the Santuario di San Mauro, the Museo Paleontologico, the Rupa Rossa and the Rupa della Noce.
