The patron saint of Vietri sul Mare is Saint John the Baptist, celebrated on 24 June in the Church of San Giovanni Battista.
In the town centre there is also strong devotion to Saint Anthony of Padua, which is why the statues of both saints are carried in procession on 24 June. Our Lady of the Angels is also venerated, celebrated every year on the Sunday after Easter. The town, famous for ceramics, holds the Provincial Ceramics Museum and the Torre Crestarella.
