The patron of Gavignano is San Rocco, celebrated on 16 August; the municipality holds the Chiesa San Rocco.
In the Chiesa di San Rocco a feast is celebrated every year in memory of a miraculous event; over time the cult was enriched by other cases held to be miraculous, above all that of 9 July 1796, the 'marvellous movement of the eyes'. The municipality also holds the Chiesa Parrocchiale Santa Maria Assunta, the Abbazia di Rossilli and the Castello di Gavignano.
