The patron saint of Ronciglione is Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, celebrated on 24 August.
Born from the Renaissance and Baroque Roman carnival tradition, the Ronciglione Carnival is considered among the ten most beautiful in Italy: between traditional theatre and the Hussars' cavalcade, which recalls a historical 19th-century ride of French soldiers through the town's streets. Every year the Palio Città di Ronciglione is also run, called «corsa a vuoto» because it has no jockeys, much like the Palio di Siena. The town also holds the Rocca Eretta and the Cathedral of Santi Pietro e Caterina.
