On the ponte della Vittoria, built in 1937 in memory of the fallen, at first only those who had fought in the Great War were allowed to cross: it was a mark of respect towards those who had not come back. Only later was it opened to everyone.

In this valley they work slate and they play the piffero, the leading instrument of these parts, which together with the accordion still drives the dancing at feast days. Its most famous maker, Nicolò Bacigalupo known as ü Grixiu, was born at Cicagna in 1863: he came back from Peru and from 1900 until his death did nothing but make pifferi. The population is 2,566.
