The patron saint of Orero is Saint Ambrose, celebrated on 7 December, in the parish church dedicated to him in the main town. The town also preserves the Baroque-style church of San Michele Arcangelo, in the hamlet of Soglio.
In the hamlet of Isolona, on the walls of an old workshop, one can still read the history of the quarrying of «pietra fontanina» stone and observe the first machines used to turn slate blocks into finished products: a testament to the area's ancient artisan vocation, overlooked by Monte Zuccarello.
