The patron of San Fiorano is Saint Florian, celebrated on 4 May with the patronal sagra, and the Chiesa di San Floriano Martire is dedicated to him.
In the days immediately before the sagra a great fair, called the fair of Santa Croce, was held in the town and enjoyed great fame throughout the lands of the middle course of the Po; the Lodi poet Jacopo Gabiano (17th century) mentions the market of San Fiorano in his poem «Laudiade».
