The patron of Basiano is Saint Gregory the Great, celebrated on the second Sunday of September in the Church of San Gregorio Magno.
Until the early 2000s, in March, a traditional procession was held from the parish church to the Chapel of San Pietro, where mass was then celebrated: a tradition the people of Basiano always held dear. The town also holds a Roman sarcophagus and the Ancient Roman Arch.
