The patron saint of Cesano Boscone, since the time of the ancient parish that gives the town its name, is Saint John the Baptist, whose feast on 24 June is still celebrated today and remains a town holiday.
Despite this, the actual patronal feast is celebrated on the third Sunday of September, for Our Lady of the Rosary: since 2010, it is on this date that the town's main events are concentrated, including the town's Palio, known as the «Palio del Cinghiale» (Wild Boar Palio), which sees the town's various districts compete, such as La Corte, the heart of the historic centre.
