Urbino's patron is Saint Crescentinus and his feast falls on 1 June. The city marks it with a procession through the streets of the historic centre — that is, inside the Renaissance perimeter UNESCO listed in its entirety.
It is the moment when Urbino stops for a few hours being a city of students and visitors and goes back to being a town that knows itself.
