The patroness of Montemitro is Santa Lucia, celebrated on the last Friday of May; the village holds the Chiesa di Santa Lucia Vergine e Martire.
The municipality also holds the Cappella di Santa Lucia and the Monte Roccile. A little church built in the 1930s by the local inhabitants and those of neighbouring villages is a pilgrimage destination on the first Sunday in albis (the Sunday after Easter): it is a very simple chapel with a hut-like plan, in rough-hewn stone, with a pitched roof.
