The village changed its name three times in less than a century: it was San Felice Slavo from 1863, fascism made it San Felice del Littorio, and in 1949 the del Molise arrived. The language did not change: in Molise Croatian the village is Filić, and here it is still spoken.
The Slavs came between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and repopulated a village emptied by the 1456 earthquake and the plagues that followed. Of the old trades hand-weaving is left, blankets and rough cloth: Beppe Severgnini, in Italiani con valigia, gave the village a section of its own, Salvate l'artigiano. There are 694 residents.
