Saint Donatus, patron of a town once overlooked by an imposing castle

Pietracatella celebrates Saint Donatus on 7 August; the town was once dominated by a castle of which few traces remain, while the church of San Giacomo Apostolo preserves a crypt dedicated to Saint Margaret dating from the 11th century.
